OVERVIEW

This unit is designed to build on the foundations laid in Primary School Music classes. Study includes notation, value of notes, musical signs, abbreviations and aural skills, as well as an introduction to the History of Music in a clear, fun and concise way. Students explore the popular instruments used in modern music including guitar, drums and keyboard using Jam Hubs to perform in bands. Students delve into the topic ‘My Favourite Song’ to evaluate Music in terms of the Christian World Perspective. Finally, students use production software to create music and explore music technology. Students
