Art Design Club is open to beginner and advanced creatives who love to be creative and have fun with others at the same time. Anyone wanting to contribute to collaborative art projects to show at our Annual Exhibition. Also helpful for students needing assistance and access to materials to complete unfinished Art Design class work. This year are are exploring weaving, with other club devised art works throughout.

The College’s Athletic Development Program is open to all students, with a keeness to pursue better health and training habits. Training plans are tailored specifically to the needs of the individual student to help them achieve their health and fitness goals.

Our Bible Club is an interactive group where we have the opportunity to discuss different concepts in the Bible and ask questions. Big Brother/Big Sister is a mentoring program that provides senior students with the opportunity to mentor a small group of Year 7 students. These cross year level friendships help the Year 7’s with their transition into the Secondary school , providing them with experienced students they can ask questions about school life. Throughout the program, the Year 11 students organise activities and devotions based on the groups interests and concerns. The Year 11’s also have opportunity participate in an overnight stay at Year 7 camp to help their group in camp activities and further strengthen their friendships.

Book Club is a great place for booklovers to come together and celebrate their shared love of books! We are a small community of girls who meet twice a Term to discuss books. We read two books a Term together and meet before school over coffee and breakfast to discuss our latest novel. The String Quartet is selective entry depending on the level of proficiency of the student and the available positions within the group. The aim of the ensemble is to provide further string ensemble opportunities for students of a high standard, who would like to develop their skills in playing chamber music. The Chapel Band and Media Team form an essential ministry at the College. Students who join these groups are constantly learning and growing in skills, service and leadership. Leading the student body in Chapel each week is a great way to express our love for Jesus and establish an atmosphere and culture of worship.

Chess Club gives students the opportunity to play chess, have fun and learn techniques. Students have the option of entering tournaments against other schools, such as the CSEN Secondary Chess Tournament in March, which we are the current title-holders.

Year 9 and 11 students have an opportunity to cook a delicious meal and serve it to guests at the Community Dinner hosted at St Paul’s Church, Boronia. This is a free community event and guests are a mixture of families, elderly and some young people living alone. Some people are struggling financially, but many appreciate the company even more than the food. It is a great opportunity for us to work together as a team to share God’s love in a practical way.

The Secondary Concert Band is an ensemble that perform music from across many eras and styles, for College events, lunchtime concerts and evening occasions. The Concert Band caters for students on Flute, Oboe, Bassoon, Clarinet, Saxophone, Trumpet, Trombone, French Horn, Euphonium, Tuba, Drum kit and Percussion. Students become a very friendly cohesive group capable of making a beautiful sound together. Students learning any of the above instruments as part of the WCC Private Instrumental lessons are strongly encouraged to be part of this ensemble on a weekly basis.

Inter-School Debating and Public Speaking promotes confidence and excellent oral communication skills, as well as encouraging logical and critical thinking, social awareness and an interest in current affairs. It is multi-disciplinary, with debating techniques being used in all subject areas, is well directed to the ‘Communication’ and ‘Thinking’ domains of the Victorian Curriculum. The interschool debating and public speaking teams also represent the College in events through the year, organised by the DAV (Debating Association of Victoria) as well as ‘one-off’ competitions.

The Duke of Edinburgh’s International Award is a leading and highly recognised youth development program, enabling and empowering young people to realise their full potential and build a brighter future. The Secondary Jazz Band is an ensemble playing Jazz/Big Band music from across many eras. The Jazz Band attend a 3-day tour to compete at the 'Generations in Jazz’ Festival held in Mt Gambier South Australia every May. The Jazz Band caters for students on Saxophone, Trumpet, Trombone, Bass Guitar, Guitar, Piano, Drum kit and Percussion.

In Leadership in sport, student will participate in afterschool activities on Monday afternoon in terms 2 and 3, which include running a Primary Afterschool Sports program. These students will also run the Annual WAVO Cup soccer tournament during Secondary Lunchtime. Through these events, student will gain the skills and learn the leadership principals around coaching and running sporting activities.

Make Poverty History is a made up of a group of students with a passion to make a difference in the lives of others in both our local community as well as in our Country and internationally. The MPH Team organises and participates in large scale fundraisers each year, such as World Vision’s 6k Walk for Water. The Team embarks on a Homeless Blessing Trip each year to support those in our local community who are experiencing homelessness and hardship. All students are welcome as we seek to make a difference in the world, whilst spreading the love of Jesus.

The Secondary Choir is an ensemble open to all students in Secondary from Year 9 to Year 12. Choir involves sectional time in smaller part rehearsal as well as combined practice. Senior Choir is a great place to enjoy music if you want to be a part of an ensemble but have not learned an instrument. We perform at major College events, including Presentation Night, Open Morning and Secondary Ensemble Performance evenings.

The Small Jazz Ensemble is a select entry ensemble playing Jazz, Funk and Latin music from across many eras. This group join Jazz Band on a 3-day tour to compete at the 'Generations in Jazz’ Festival held in Mt Gambier South Australia every May. The Combo caters for students on Saxophone, Trumpet, Trombone, Bass Guitar, Guitar, Piano, Drum kit and Percussion. Students rehearse from 8:00am to 8:45am every Friday Morning. This ensemble is student lead and feature student work on analysis and exposition of their favourite Jazz musicians.

The Secondary String Ensemble is an ensemble open to all students in Secondary College. The String Ensemble perform music from across many eras and styles. The String Ensemble, like all Secondary Ensembles at WCC, take part in the ‘Victorian Schools Music Festival’. The String Ensemble caters for students on Violin, Viola, Cello and Double Bass. Students learning any of the above instruments as part of the WCC Private Instrumental lessons are required to be part of this ensemble on a weekly basis.
