“Libraries allow children to ask questions about the world and find the answers. And the wonderful thing is that once a child learns to use a library, the doors to learning are always open.” Laura Bush

Students learn the importance of listening and reading and know it is part of God’s plan that people should be able to read and understand what they are reading as well as they will begin to understand that language is one of God’s greatest gifts to humans, given for the purpose of sharing ideas with others.

Students are introduced to library rules and procedures and how to care for and borrow books. They listen and respond to a variety of Picture Books and begin to identify the different parts of a book and also view a range of literature.
