OVERVIEW
Students are introduced to a range of topics in the areas of History and Science. They begin to understand that God desires that we study the details of the world to take care of His creation. Students are developing an understanding of personal and family history, exploring differences and similarities between peers. They learn about the past through the different ways we celebrate special events fostering a sense of wonder, curiosity respect for places and people.
In Science students investigate a variety of factors, including size and shape, that influence the way objects move. Students investigate the weather and how it affects everyday life. They explore the basic needs of living things and use their senses to investigate their surroundings and gather information. Students pose and respond to questions about familiar objects and events. Through this subject students will begin to develop an interest in Science and willingness to explore their world.
