Integrated Studies

“The world is a great book, of which those who never stir from home read only a page.” St. Augustine

Overview

Students explore a variety of topics in the areas of Science, History and Geography. They are encouraged to develop and reflect on values and attitudes such as curiosity, respect for God's creation and other people. They investigate events and objects from the past and learn to represent history in timelines and narratives. They experiment with mixing different ingredients and learn to describe changes to objects and materials. Students also explore how they are personally connected to different parts of the world and why these places are important. They investigate forces and motion and describe how living things grow and change. They explore how to conserve Earth’s resources in order to become good stewards of God’s creation.
