The Primary Sport program at Waverley has developed into a very strong, high-achieving program. While the College has achieved much success in recent years, the focus continues to be on the students' development of enjoyment, sportsmanship and fair play. Through regular involvement in a wide range of physical pursuits, the aim is for students to develop a positive attitude towards physical activity and for each student to remain active throughout their life.
Our upper primary students have the chance to be involved in many different events throughout the year:
Winter Sport Rally Days (Football, Soccer, Netball, Tee-Ball and Lawn Bowls)
Summer Sport Rally Days (Cricket, Volleyball, Tennis, Rounders and Softball)
The sports available for our mid-primary students are less extensive, but each student has the chance to be chosen to represent the College in:
God has given us the responsibility to take care of our physical body, to learn to work with others, and to give everything our very best effort. Our sports program will continue to help each individual develop in these key areas. Any success they have along the way is hard-earned, but always in acknowledgment of the gifts God has given us.
